1. Have half the calories of normal wine
Yes, there is a ton of sugar in alcohol. Alcohol is created from the fermentation of natural sugars found in the grape, hence, the strong relationship between alcohol, sugar and therefore – calories. So when we remove alcohol from our wine, we remove calories too. For example, the removal of 13% alcohol by volume translates to a 60 % reduction in calories. Start to count the calories of every alcoholic drink you consume and you will be surprised how quickly they add up. A beer (285ml) can have as much as 102 calories, while a standard glass of red or white wine (175ml) could have as much as 160 calories. If you like a large glass of wine (250ml) be prepared to welcome 228 calories into your body. By comparison, 250ml of Edenvale Alcohol Removed Sauvignon Blanc has only 54 calories!

Edenvale has at least the same levels of antioxidants as ‘real’ alcoholic wine and there is evidence, from the Australian National Measurements Institute, to suggest that the levels are even higher in our product. Wine has high levels of antioxidants called polyphenols, found in the skin of grapes. These work to help protect your cells from free radical damage and premature ageing. Antioxidants also increase your ‘good’ cholesterol levels and impede the build-up of ‘bad’ cholesterols.
