How to Serve Edenvale Chardonnay
This Chardonnay's fuller body means it's happiest a touch warmer than a crisp white - aim for 10 to 12°C, and reach for a wider-bowled glass if you have one, to let the melon and citrus aromas develop. Keep unopened bottles standing upright somewhere dark and cool, well clear of any heat source. After opening, screw the cap back on, pop it in the fridge, and it'll hold its flavour for a few days.
Food Pairings for Edenvale Non-Alcoholic Chardonnay
The richer, buttery texture of this Chardonnay pairs beautifully with:
- Roast or grilled chicken
- Salmon and other richer fish
- Mild, creamy cheeses such as brie
- Creamy pasta and risotto
- Pork with apple or fruit-based sauces
How We Remove the Alcohol From Our Chardonnay
Our Chardonnay grapes are grown across South Eastern Australia and crafted into a full-strength wine first, complete with the subtle oak influence that gives this variety its signature roundness. Only once that character is locked in do we use our cutting-edge GoLo heat pump-powered unit to gently remove the alcohol. What's left settles under 0.5% alcohol by volume - about the same as a glass of orange juice - without losing the buttery, complex Chardonnay you'd expect from the full-strength version.
Never without a bottle in our place. People can't believe it's non alcoholic. Love it.
After over 2 years alcohol free it is a real treat to have found Edenvale wines. They taste great and it is so nice to be able to again have a glass with dinner or drinks with friends and not be the odd one out.
What does zero-alcohol Chardonnay taste like?
Edenvale non-alcoholic Chardonnay is not quite zero per cent alcohol - it has the same alcohol level as fresh fruit juice. It tastes of rich melon, citrus and apple, with a soft buttery finish and a touch of oak - the same complexity you'd expect from a full-strength Chardonnay.
How much alcohol is in Edenvale Chardonnay?
This Chardonnay sits at less than 0.5% alcohol by volume - low enough to count as zero standard drinks, and roughly on par with the alcohol naturally present in a glass of fresh orange juice.
How is the alcohol removed from Edenvale Chardonnay?
Edenvale uses its own technology to gently remove the alcohol after the Chardonnay has been fully fermented and matured with its characteristic oak influence, helping preserve its flavour and buttery texture.
Is alcohol-free Chardonnay served the same way as regular Chardonnay?
Yes - serve it chilled to around 8 to 10°C in a standard white wine glass.
Where can I buy Edenvale Non-Alcoholic Chardonnay?
You can buy it online here in single bottles or a carton of six, and find it at selected Edenvale stockists around Australia.
What is the best non-alcoholic Chardonnay?
The 'best' non-alcoholic Chardonnay comes down to personal taste. Edenvale's version is a strong contender: it's an award-winning wine, having won a gold medal at the 2026 World Alcohol Free awards, and Bronze medals in the 2025 and 2026 International Wine and Spirits Competition.
