How to Serve Premium Reserve Non-Alcoholic Sparkling Red Wine
Bubbles are always better cold. Serve your non-alcoholic Sparkling Shiraz Premium Reserve wine lightly chilled, around 8 - 12 degrees C, to bring the dark berry fruit and spice to life while keeping the fizz fantastic. Whilst a Champagne flute is an acceptable and common glass choice, we recommend trying a generously sized red wine glass, which offers more capacity for swirling, allowing the aromas to open up.
When ready to pour, ease the cork out slowly with a gentle twist and keep the bottle angled away, the same care you would give any bottle of sparkling.
Once opened, seal with a sparkling wine stopper and refrigerate; enjoy within 24 hours while the bubbles and freshness are at their best.
Sparkling Shiraz Food Pairing
This non-alcoholic sparkling wine is one of the most food-versatile sparkling wines at the table, pairing well with BBQ meats, spiced lamb, aged cheese, dark chocolate and chilli-based dishes - the bubbles cleanse the palate while the wine's off-dry fruit character tempers heat. But you don't need to reserve it purely for the big moments; try it with thick, juicy slices of bacon and eggs at brunch. We are not joking.
- Glazed Christmas ham
- BBQ pulled pork or slow-cooked ribs
- Aged cheddar and blue cheese
- Spiced lamb with rosemary
- Dark chocolate and raspberry tart
- Charcuterie and cured meats
- Chilli-based dishes (the bubbles help cut through the heat)
How Edenvale Makes Non-Alcoholic Sparkling Shiraz
As with all our non-alcoholic wines, we make sparkling wine the same way any premium vigneron would - starting with a fully-fermented wine. From our $5M facility in the Murray-Darling Basin, our world-first GoLo heat-pump-powered unit gently and efficiently removes alcohol from wine, with a far lighter carbon footprint than other methods.
We separate the wine into alcohol, de-alcoholised liquid and essence. With the alcohol now removed, we blend the liquid and essence, working to retain the original character profile you expect from a great sparkling wine.
Never without a bottle in our place. People can't believe it's non alcoholic. Love it.
Edenvale wines are very pleasant to drink, especially if one has to drive home afterwards. My favourite one is the Shiraz, but the entire range is lovely.
After over 2 years alcohol free it is a real treat to have found Edenvale wines. They taste great and it is so nice to be able to again have a glass with dinner or drinks with friends and not be the odd one out.
Non-Alcoholic Premium Reserve Sparkling Shiraz FAQs
What makes Sparkling Shiraz uniquely Australian?
Sparkling Shiraz is one of the few wine styles Australia can genuinely call our own. The style evolved in the 19th century under the name "Sparkling Burgundy", a tradition that predates many of Europe's modern sparkling wine categories. When the use of regional European wine names was restricted, Australia kept the style and reclaimed it under its rightful grape variety. Today, Sparkling Shiraz is recognised globally as a distinctly Australian contribution to the world of wine, and Edenvale is proud to offer a non-alcoholic alternative to such an icon.
Does non-alcoholic Sparkling Shiraz still contain antioxidants?
Yes. Polyphenols and resveratrol develop in Shiraz grape skins during fermentation, not from the alcohol itself. Edenvale's de-alcoholisation process is designed to remove ethanol while leaving these naturally occurring grape compounds intact.
