Aussie Wine Month has become a firm calendar favourite for many a wine lover. As the country’s biggest celebration of locally-produced wine, it’s a chance to showcase and appreciate the astounding quality and breadth of Australian winemaking. With the alcohol-free wine market continuing to experience rapid growth, this annual event also provides the perfect opportunity to champion alternative interpretations crafted right here on our doorstep.
Edenvale has long advocated and promoted Australia’s unique wine-making attributes. The climate, quality of fruit, and winemaking skills in this country are second to none, and that applies also to the alcohol-removed wine industry. So, this May, we’d like to highlight some of the quintessentially Australian ingredients, both figurative and literal, that go into our non-alcoholic wines.Â
If you’re celebrating Aussie Wine Month this May, why open a bottle of Edenvale and discover how Australian innovation removes alcohol and raises the bar?Â

Our Grapes Are Full of Home-Grown GoodnessÂ
How many times have you heard a chef say that a dish is only as good as its ingredients? Or simple recipes are often the best, provided they’re based on premium-quality produce? Well, it’s no different to winemaking. If you source the best fruit, you give yourself every chance of making the best wine.Â
Edenvale is very particular about our grapes. We only select fruit from sustainable vineyards operating in the most prestigious grape-growing areas in the country. These regions include:Â
-
The Barossa Valley, South AustraliaÂ
-
The Fleurieu Peninsula, South AustraliaÂ
-
The Riverland, South AustraliaÂ
-
The Murray-Darling, North-west Victoria & South-west NSWÂ
-
The Frankland River, Western AustraliaÂ

Our Aussie Winemakers Are a Passionate BunchÂ
As integral as the fruit is, that’s not enough to make remarkable non-alcoholic wine. Some human intervention has to come into the mix as well! Our winemakers prefer a very light touch. Whilst they follow traditional winemaking techniques, it’s very much about letting the grapes work their natural magic.Â
Once the wine is created, Edenvale winemakers do something few winemakers in the country do… They remove the alcohol. Taking away the alcohol whilst retaining the wine’s original characteristics is no easy feat, and we have world-first technology and innovation to help us achieve a flawless result.Â

There’s Plenty of Choice With EdenvaleÂ

And we don’t just make one drop, we make 18 diverse, unique and delicious varietals that offer something for everyone. So, if you thought abstinence meant monotony, we’ve got great news. What We’re Drinking During Aussie Wine MonthÂ
All this talk of Aussie Wine Month is making us thirsty! What drops do you fancy? With the cooler weather approaching, these are our top tipples:Â

Non-Alcoholic Premium Reserve Sparkling ShirazÂ
No event celebrating Australian wine can be complete without an iconic sparkling Shiraz! We’ll be popping the cork and partying with a firm favourite, Edenvale’s Non-Alcoholic Premium Reserve Sparkling Shiraz. You can expect all the hallmarks of a great sparkling red - currants, blackberries, spice, oak… This is refreshing, pure lusciousness.Â

Non-Alcoholic Sauvignon Blanc
Autumn shouldn’t cancel out white wine, especially when it tastes this good. Edenvale’s Non-Alcoholic Sauvignon Blanc is a truly outstanding combination of capsicum, ripe gooseberry and herbaceous fruit aromas. The refreshing acid finish cuts through a lot of the heavier meals you might now choose this time of year. And that pale straw-green colour is just lovely. Â

Non-Alcoholic Premium Reserve PinotÂ
Australia has developed a global reputation for big, bold reds. However, our refined and elegant Pinot Noirs are every bit as enticing. Take this Non-Alcoholic Premium Pinot Noir, for instance. With its classic ripe cherries and mulberries, this wine is juicy, delicate and delicious. Â
No matter how you celebrate Aussie Wine Month this year, why not include a non-alcoholic wine in the mix? You won’t be disappointed. Chin-chin!Â
